Adventure On! (Grades 3-10)

ADVENTURE ON! is our latest addition to Running Brook Adventures. Campers who have completed 3rd-10th grades now have the opportunity to select a specific interest (Adventure on Ropes, Adventure on Wheels or Adventure on Water) and have an intensive week-long experience, or stick with a variety of activties in Adventures on Demand.   Each section of Adventure On! is comprised of exciting day-trip outings, and our Adventure on Wheels! group adds a one or two-night overnight camping trip.  Groups within each offering will be split by age.

Week 7 (August 10-14) Programs:

Adventure on Ropes!
For the thrillseekers among us, this week of day-trips takes you to new heights. Adventures include rock climbing (indoor and outdoor), aerial tree parks, zip lines and a beach day.

Adventure on Wheels!
For those who like to move fast, this is the “wheel deal.” Activities may include mountain biking, trail biking, rollerblading, skateboarding, & scootering. Younger campers (grades 3-5) will embark on an overnight camping trip from Thursday-Friday and the camping trip for the older campers (grades 5-10) is Wednesday - Friday and includes a downhill mountain bike adventure. Campers must be comfortable biking at least 10 miles and confident on both roads and trails. Campers signing up for the older group must also be experienced or excited to learn downhill mountain biking.

Adventure on Demand!
Experience the full gamut of day-trip adventures “on-demand” and explore new locations as this week’s schedule is comprised of a mixture of past favorites and current camper choices.   Potential activities may include a beach day, Bodaborg, Boston Adventures, museum trips, a visit to the Harbor Islands, & sporting events. Registration is open to campers who have completed grades 3-10 and campers will be broken up into smaller groups by age.

Week 8 (August 17-21) Programs:

Adventure on Water!
Pools, lakes, rivers, oceans, boating, beaching, swimming, fishing, waterslides...anything related to water is fair game on these day-trips! Campers must be comfortable swimming in deep water.
