Is your camper a performer-at-heart? Are you looking for an opportunity for them to build self-confidence, to learn the power of collaboration, and to showcase their imagination, creativity, and self-expression?
Running Brook's new Performing Arts camp, for 3rd-8th graders, is a fun and engaging opportunity for kids of all levels of theatrical experience to explore the ins-and-outs of putting together a show. Actors and technicians will have the chance to "embrace their brave" in a unique and supportive setting through many aspects of performance and design.
Throughout the two-week session, campers will learn about:
-
Acting technique
-
Character development
-
Voice
-
Costume design
-
Set design
- Lighting design
-
Theatrical makeup
Each two-week session will culminate with performances at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall’s newly renovated center for the arts, The Barn. Friends and family are invited to attend this performance and experience the wonderful production that our young thespians create together.
Our Performing Arts camp instructors are experienced in both professional theater and education, and they create a fun environment where campers feel safe to take risks and try something new. Running Brook Performing Arts Camp: From campers to showstoppers!
