Summer and vacation camps
for kids and teens, located in Waltham, MA

Explorers (Grades 7-10)

Our Explorers groups take on even greater adventures than our Day Trekkers and Voyagers. Campers who have completed 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th grade have a number of exciting two-week options with a week-long/ four-night camping trip as part of the session! Campers leave the Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall campus with their two counselors for daily activities the first week. Day trips around greater Boston may include snorkeling, surfing, kayaking, biking, rock climbing, volunteering, and the beach. They return to campus in the afternoon in time to go home at the end of the regular camp day.  Groups depart Monday of the second week for their camping trip and return Friday afternoon.

2019 Session Dates & Camping Locations

Camping is a required component of the Explorers session. As such, there is not an on-campus alternative. With the exception of Session 3, Campers will be sleeping in tents and working as a group to prepare and cook their meals.

Camping Trips will be Monday-Friday of the second week of each session.
Session 2 has two camping trips, Wed-Fri of the first week and Mon-Fri of the second week.
Session 3 accommodations will be at a cabin/lodge rather than in tents and all food will be provided. As such, there is an additional cost.
