Running Brook Adventures offers exciting day trips and camping experiences for youth who have completed grades 3 through 10. Trips are co-ed, with two to three counselors per group. Adventures include on- and off-campus activities throughout New England and other Northeastern states.
We invite you to step outside and join us for an unforgettable Adventures experience this summer!
DAY TREKKERS offers campers who have completed 3rd, 4th or 5th grade the opportunity to discover adventures in the greater Boston area in two-week sessions. This program is for those who are looking to test the waters with nature. Day Trekkers is the introductory group of the Adventures program. Activities may include hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, volunteering, swimming, canoeing and more. When signing up, campers can choose between two options: a session that is comprised exclusively of day trips or three days of day trips followed by a one-night camping trip (Thursday - Friday).
VOYAGERS offers campers who have completed 5th, 6th or 7th grade two-week sessions of both day and overnight trips to destinations like the Berkshires, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine. This program is for those who enjoy nature and are looking to challenge themselves with overnight camping and more extreme adventures. Voyagers is the intermediate group of the Adventures program. Groups will have day trips during the entire first week of the session and the start of the second week. Activities may include advanced hiking, biking, kayaking, rock climbing, volunteering, swimming, and canoeing. The session culminates in a two-night camping trip.
Note: Camping is a required component of the Voyagers session, so there is not an on-campus alternative. Hiking, biking and kayaking / canoeing will also take place during each session. Please ensure that your camper is comfortable with these activities before signing up!
