Camp is a place where youth come to play and grow in a group - as a member of our staff, you will play an integral role in this incredible experience. Along the way, we hope you will learn about yourself and gain valuable experience to use throughout your life.

What You Will Do

  • Be available for the camp season - June 26 through August 18
  • Participate in pre-camp training and professional development
  • Co-lead a combination of day and overnight tent camping trips
  • Ensure safety and welfare of camper group through constant supervision
  • Oversee transportation of campers in 12 - 15 passenger vans or a large school bus
  • Be an active participant and leader in all activities throughout the day, including: kayaking, canoeing, tent camping, rock climbing, hiking, biking, backpacking, etc.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team about group management efforts
  • Communicate with parents regarding program updates and camper concerns
  • Maintain a positive attitude and an enthusiasm for your work with all campers
  • Practice self-care in order to put your best foot forward
  • Communicate effectively with leadership team, counselors, campers, and parents
  • Be safe and have fun with the whole Running Brook community!

What You Need

  • 21 years of age or older
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Relevant education and experience
    • Examples: education, child development, clinical work, parks and recreation
  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster
  • Clean driving record
