Summer and vacation camps
for kids and teens, located in Waltham, MA
Our Adventures camp offers exciting day trips and camping experiences for youth and teens between the ages of 9-16 (completed grades 3-10).  Trips are co-ed, with two to three counselors per group, combining on and off-campus adventure activities throughout New England and other Northeastern states.

Our Groups

DAY TREKKERS
offers campers who have completed 3rd, 4th or 5th grade the opportunity to discover off-campus adventures in the greater Boston area in one-week sessions.  Activities may include hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, volunteering, swimming, canoeing and more. When signing up, campers can choose a one-week session that is comprised exclusively of day trips or 3 days of day trips followed by a one-night camping trip (Thurs-Fri).

VOYAGERS offers campers who have completed 5th, 6th or 7th-grade two-week sessions of both day and overnight trips to destinations like the Berkshires, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine.  Groups will have day trips during the entire first week of the session and the start of the second week. Activities may include hiking, biking, kayaking, rock climbing, volunteering, swimming, and canoeing. The session culminates in a two or three-night camping trip, depending on the session chosen. Camping is a required component of the Voyagers session, as such, there is not an on-campus alternative. Hiking, Biking and Kayaking/Canoeing will also take place during each session. Please ensure that your camper is comfortable with these activities before signing up.

ABOUT THE ADVENTURES STAFF

Our trip leaders and counselors are highly qualified individuals with outdoor adventure & camping experience, current CPR/AED, Lifeguarding and First Aid certifications, and many of our staff work in education programs in the Greater Boston area during the school year.  Each Adventures group has two or three staff assigned for the session.

We are currently seeking staff members that have outdoor adventure experience. Adventures staff members must be at least 20 years of age.

Our Adventures Director is Sara Berkowitz, LICSW.
EXPLORERS offers even greater adventures than our Day Trekkers and Voyagers groups. Campers who have completed 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th grade have a number of exciting two-week options with a week-long/ four-night camping trip as part of the session! Campers leave the Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall campus with their two counselors for daily activities the first week. Day trips around greater Boston may include snorkeling, surfing, kayaking, biking, rock climbing, volunteering, and the beach. They return to campus in the afternoon in time to go home at the end of the regular camp day.  Groups depart Monday of the second week for their camping trip and return Friday afternoon. Camping is a required component of the Explorers session, as such, there is not an on-campus alternative. Hiking, Biking and Kayaking/Canoeing will also take place during each session. Please ensure that your camper is comfortable with these activities before signing up.

The first Adventures session begins on June 24, 2019. The summer schedule is packed with both indoor and outdoor adventures, new destinations and activities for each group!
